SUMMARY

The Network Implementation Specialist will play an important role in ensuring smooth day to day operations of the CLIENT enterprise network environment. Responsibilities will include advanced level support for network related activities in the North America region as well as all other regions as part of the global Network Access team. Focusing primary on WAN environment additionally LAN and WLAN network. These activities include the support of our WAN and LAN network, routing, and other related infrastructure systems. This position will have a strong focus on the coordination and administration of our WAN infrastructure environment, managing our SD-WAN provider and local or global ISP provider. In this role, the Network Implementation Specialist will work with other CLIENT IT Team members, vendors and business members to operate the CLIENT network and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

·       Provides top level support for our IT network services .

·       Supports the global WAN environment, administration of our WAN underlay and overlay network for all global CLIENT sites.

·       Operation of the overlay SD-WAN environment based on Silverpeak technology. Managing of incidents and changes in cooperation with the external SD-WAN Provider.

·       Managing of underlay network with our ISP and MPLS provider.

·       Managing, operating and monitoring network infrastructure  (routing, switching, WiFi, NAC network security, based on Cisco technology)

·       Diagnosis and problem solving regarding the network

·       Collaboration and managing with local network teams for physical onsite support and IMACD of network devices from remote.

·       Install, configure and support multiple network layers infrastructure based on standard industries and technology such as MPLS, SD-WAN, Ethernet, TCP-IP, routing protocols like OSPF and BGP.

·       Cooperation with other teams for implementing IT solution

·       Communicates frequently with international peers providing direction and standards for CLIENT’s infrastructure.

·       Remain abreast of changes in user and system software and hardware requirements.
Maintain the lifecycle of network devices.

·       Potential frequent travel.

·       Interact with international network team to ensure that operations are coordinated, supported and maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Min. 5 years of experience with managing WAN and SD-WAN. Managing ISP and MPLS provider for an enterprise network.

·       Min. 5 years of experience with LAN and CISCO network solution, configuration, managing CISCO routers, multilayer switches and WiFi devices for an enterprise network.

·       Practice knowledge of configuration and managing Cisco ISE, DNA Center and WLAN controller

·       Practice knowledge of Proxy systems, Zscaler experience will be an asset

·       Good knowledge of networks protocols and network services

·       Knowledge of network security (radius, tacacs, 802.1x)

·       Knowledge of network routing protocols as OSPF, BGP

·       Knowledge in DHCP, DNS, IPAM

·       Fortinet and F5 load balancer will be an asset.

·       Team player but also good time – and self-management

·       Good conflict solving skills

·       Work under deadline pressure

·       Strong customer focus

·       Ability to travel abroad on occasion

·       ITIL principles

·       Managing lifecycle process of network security systems

·       BMC Remedy and project management experience is beneficial

·       Good communication skills, both verbal and written

·       Fluency in English and basic knowledge of German is a benefit

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Fifth year college or university program certificate; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS

Cisco and Infrastructure certification would be preferred, ITIL certification will be an asset.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English language.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OVERTIME

Employees must be able to work additional hours at the end of the shift, additional days during the payroll week which can and will be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week.
