ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
List the primary tasks of the position, in order of importance / largest time spent
to least time spent. Describe what must be accomplished by the position.
1. Development of the manufacturing concepts, complete assembly,
automation and test processes for Battery Cooling (BC), Thermal
Management Modules (TMM) and Cooling Modules (CM). This includes
but not limited to capacity planning, MTM, line balancing, line layouts,
material flow, error proofing, EOL testing, PFMEA development.
2. Ensure alignment of deliverables with project targets for timing, capital and
tooling budgets and labor cost.
3. Develop complete specification package and collaborate with Purchasing
to ensure sourcing decisions are in alignment with project requirements.
4. Support and ensure completion of MOP/PAM activities and obtain
necessary approvals required to proceed with equipment sourcing
activities.
5. Review all assembly process plans to ensure the appropriate use of
automation is planned for each project and payback period requirements
are met according to DCF calculations.
6. Complete reviews, collaboration and approvals with a Global TO prior to
equipment sourcing for all projects.
7. Supervise equipment supplier activities (remote & onsite) as needed to
ensure project deliverables and expectations are met. Review and
approve all equipment prior to delivery to plant locations.
8. Support equipment installation and launch activities (remote and onsite) in
the plants as needed to ensure project deliverables and expectations are
met.
9. Support new business acquisition by completing estimates which include
detailed analysis for assembly labor, capital and tooling requirements.
10. Assume direct process engineering responsibility for a project when
needed based on workload and resource availability within the
department.
11. Investigate and develop new technologies to improve existing and new
processes.
12. Regularly review assembly and test process global standards and provide
detailed feedback to support continuous improvement.
13. Support and lead global PPI SPRINT activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The minimum experience / education that is needed to perform the role. Specify
what is required, and what is desired
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
Minimum 5 years of experience in a process engineering and/or
manufacturing operations role required
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously
Ability to balance detail analysis with a “bigger picture” in focus
Proven critical thinking and analytical skills
Experience working in a cross-function teams on the multinational and
global projects
Strong global network building ability
Previous experience working on process optimization and cost reduction
projects (i.e. PPI SPRINT)
