Job Description:

Managing the Mexican operational finance function, where you will overseas all areas of the day to day finance function, as well as working closely with the General Manager and Group Finance Director.

 

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential as well as strong financial accounting knowledge. It goes without saying, you will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to motivate and encourage your wider team whilst relaying information clearly to non-finance colleagues. You will have the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external colleagues including suppliers and customers, whilst enabling the finance team to complete the workload through effective and positive team working.

 

Strong English language skills are essential, with regular correspondence required with both UK and US colleagues across the wider TBS and Marmon group.

 

Main responsibilities:

·         Manage Finance function to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records via our ERP systems, IFS

·         AP (booking expenses, Suppliers payments, invoices compliance IRRs stamp requirements).

·         AR (register and stamp Customers receipts, credit notes, etc.)

·         Cash (Banck account recon., spreadsheet with all movements description (references/notes) for Tax`s proposal.

·         TAXs (Local & Federal) prepare and support requirements for Tax`s Advisor Monthly and annual Tax Return).

·         Imports General knowledge (Fiscal matters). Ensure all ops. covering fiscal laws, invoice match value, import & duties, other charges, etc. in a Deductible matter.

·         Process Pay Roll    (managing pay roll program, social security, general or basic knowledge of Labor Law). Hiring, termination, etc.

·         HR (Job Requisition, hiring process, work with the team to ensure good labour environment).

·         Billing IRRs compliance (stamp invoices, assigned products IRRs code, outbound pack list reporting, and all updates from IRRs when it happens).

·         Physical Inventory Counts (Annual).

·         Ultimate responsibility for the ERP system IFS and helping to drive continuous enhancements to the system.

·         Ownership of the month end procedure, including TB review, intercompany reconciliations, variance to budget/forecast analysis and submission to parent company system.

·         Prepare and sign off monthly balance sheet reconciliations

·         Review finance and business processes and identify risk areas and add appropriate controls to mitigate risk

·         Assistance with monthly and quarterly forecast preparation and the annual budget.

·         Overseeing and implementing parent company SPI (Standard Practice Instructions) controls.

·         Working with internal and external audit teams to ensure a clean audit report

·         Ad hoc project work in conjunction with the General Manager & Group Finance Director.

Person Specification:

·         Positive working style

·         Must have substantial experience within a similar role, ideally a qualified accountant

·         Ability to work across multiple different tasks whilst maintaining the highest levels of accuracy is essential

·         Ability to actively manager your own diary and prioritise tasks as required

·         Comfortable and confident to attend and discuss finance related initiatives internal and external colleagues and customers

·         Strong IT skills, including working knowledge of a fully integrated ERP system, preferably IFS but not essential.

·         Strong systems, process and procedural skills

·         Critical thinking and problem solving skills

·         Hands on, proactive, dynamic and positive work ethic.
