QUALITY COORDINATOR
About the Role:
The Quality coordinator will conduct, review, and validate in-line and final inspections. This individual will review specifications and legal requirements ensuring the process and documentation is adequate to meet quality and regulatory standards. Update and maintain databases and other documents as directed by Quality management team.
Overview of Responsibilities:
· Conduct Risk evaluation on initial project samples.
· Generate Testing and QA guidelines based on the Risk associate for each project.
· Review and validate compliance documentation for various markets (USA, Canada and LATAM)
· Conduct in-line and final inspections as per approved sample and critical requirements documents (Quality assurance protocol- QAP’s) during production run.
· Assist factories with corrective actions follow up and timely reporting to management team.
· Work with LATAM Quality team to ensure process and procedures are followed ensuring the quality of product and the performance for GSC LATAM sourced items is consistent.
· Conduct Quality related Trainings (Internally and Externally)
This role will report to AMERICAS QA/QC Manager and maintains relationships with:
Quality and operational teams in Americas
Suppliers, service providers and related business partners
Education & Experience:
· University degree.
· High level English and Spanish
· Minimum of 1 years of consumer goods/POS inspection experience or QC similar
· Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and regulations/testing methodologies for US, Canada, EU and South American markets.
· Experience in managing a high volume of challenging projects.
· Strong understanding of AQL inspection standards is required.
Highly Desirable Additional Experience:
Auditor exposure/ experience gained working within the merchandise/POS manufacturing industry.
Experience auditing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SA8000/SMETA standards.
